❝GM Celeste!!!
I wanted to let you know that Sophie is a wonderful horse for me.
We’ve had so much fun riding in Vermillion Highlands Park this summer. She is the best!!!
Thank you for training her so well to be ok in the wilderness so to speak!
Hope you are well.
Wanted you to know that she is a jewel!!!❞

September 29th, 2025, Update!
Honor's backstory: Honor was born and raised with us, sired a couple of foals for us and then gelded, we decided he no longer fit into our breeding program. He went through our training program and was rehomed into a wonderful home! The fit in his new home didn't work out as intended so Honor was re-homed to another lady in Illinois with plans on Endurance in the future!
Exxcel WLF "Exxcel aka Loki"
(Odyssey SC* x Nebula WLF)
2018 Bay Minimal Rabicano Arabian Gelding
Went out of state
2025 Update!
❝"I have to share about Loki. Pouring rain, inside our pole building so it’s loud and Loki was perfect while getting his feet done. You do a great job!❞
❝If you zoom in you can see the acupuncture needles. Exxcel (Loki) totally enjoys his Chiro/accupunture/magna wave time.❞
- Current owner - Details for this owner are being kept anonymously.
Exxcel's backstory: Exxcel was originally pulled out of Ryon's Rescue Pen Fall of 2022. He was taken on as a prospect, but it was obvious getting off of the trailer he was more of a project. He was terrified of humans, buckets, incredibly spooky, very distrusting and did not want anything to do with people. I later found out who owned him prior and was told he was a bronc and was dangerous. I put roughly two years of training into him until he could be ridden. Although, he didn't offer to buck with me while in training (under saddle), he was a challenge to get "fixed up". He is able to be ridden as well as is good for all cares. He now resides with a wonderful owner that is going above and beyond to take care of him!

2023 Update!
❝Ellie has been good, still the sweetest little bean in the whole world. She is quite good at spotting my car and will race down to the gate to meet me for cookies. She's probably the biggest goober in her pasture, always getting into some kind of curious mischief. As the barn manager has told me, "Ellie is the reason we have to keep the electrical fence on so much", since she has discovered she can just flop through the fence. She's gotten to that age where she either wants to play with everyone or try and be big bad and push on the higher horses (with little success I might add). Her training has been going well as well, nothing to exciting to report. Just slow and steady progress, been trying to work her on the trails as much as possible this summer
I certainly can express how glad I am that she is mine, and I hope you'll be happy to know that she is out here living her best life being all perfect and cute. ❞
- Sydnee D.
Ellie's backstory: Ellie was born and raised with us. She didn't fit into our broodmare program. She then went through our training program (age-appropriate at the time) and was rehomed into a wonderful home!

(Black-Arabi Czar x Cherie Select)
2005 Bay Arabian Mare
Went to Wisconsin
June 26th, 2025 Update!
Check out miss Mazey taking a swim with her owner today!!
- Heidi A.
Mazey's backstory: Mazey was originally bought for lessons but ended up not fitting in well with our herd. She refused to stick up for herself and it just was not working out. She got a 30-day refresher put into her as she had been sitting for 2 years prior, got eye surgery done after her refresher to finish closing up her open but blind one eye, and then was listed for sale. She then found the most amazing home for her retirement days!
Nitro
2018 Bay Grade Arabian Gelding
June 1st-July 1st, 2025 Training Testimonial!
❝ I can’t say enough good things about my experience with Celeste at Spirit Creek Arabians. I sent my 7-year-old Arabian gelding, Nitro, to her for training after rescuing him from a situation where he was on his way to auction. At the time, Nitro was extremely spooky, lacked confidence, and hadn’t had much handling beyond possibly some basic halter work. He was essentially unrideable and didn’t trust people.
After just one month with Celeste, Nitro came back a completely different horse. He’s now far calmer, more confident, and so much easier to work with. I can ride him, he stands tied patiently, and—remarkably—he’s the only horse I own who stands quietly for fly spray! That alone is a small miracle.
Celeste clearly took the time to understand Nitro’s mindset and worked with him at his pace, building trust and confidence in a way that’s made a lasting difference. While he’s still every bit the Arabian, he’s now a partner I can bond with, rather than a project I feel overwhelmed by. I absolutely plan to send him back to Celeste for more training when I can—her work is truly transformative.
Highly recommended to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, patient, and results-driven Arabian horse trainer.
Ps - even my vet noticed a difference! ❞

June 23rd, 2025 Update!
❝He has settled in within a few days! Waits for me every evening and goes right to his stall even when I’m not looking and the door is open! He thinks he’s the boss here which is no problem! He is such a beautiful horse and comes up every time he sees me even without treats being offered. ❞
- Sharon J.
Scandalous's backstory: Scandalous was sent up from Illinois on consignment in 2022. He needed more time than I was given and was considered "dangerous". I fell in love and decided to purchase him myself to continue his training as I feared he'd end up in the wrong hands. He went through my training program; got all the time he needed to get "fixed up". Got him broke well enough for my beginner riding lesson students to ride him and he was continuously trail ridden for a year or two. Decided I didn't have enough time for him as a personal horse as he was looking for more connection and listed him for sale. He ended up in a wonderful home!

I will bring them back middle of July probably. Will start riding this fall when it cools down here in Okla. I plan on ponying the gelding so they can stay together on my trail rides. They love each other. These pics are other day down at lake house. She’s still so sweet and loving! and I love seeing your videos. I’m only going to buy from you if the chance arises. ❞
- Paula Z.

❝Celeste, Taji is doing amazing on his camping trip. Crossing creeks, walking through mud, etc. So proud of him. Thank you so much for the two weeks you spent with him. I know your hard work has made him a better horse! ❞
- Barb M.
Taji's backstory: ad Taji was born and raised with us, he sired a few foals for a few years, and then we decided he no longer fit into our breeding program. He was then gelded and went through our training program and then was rehomed. Originally was sold to a retired couple who instantly fell in love with him back in 2015. He was planned to be their trail riding horse. We lost track and communication of Taji after he was sold. Then in 2024, 9 years later, Taji reappeared on EquineNow available for sale from a boarding stable. Turns out his primary owner had passed away and he had been sitting for 7 years. We immediately got in contact with the seller to try to help place him in an appropriate home and he found his way to Barb! Taji came back June, 2025 for a two-week refresher and he was as solid as he was when he originally left us. We worked on a few minor things he needed, and he also learned some new things to take with him! Then went on a camping trip in Missouri right after he left training! Thankfully he ended up in a very good home and will continue to be cherished!

She picked great horses that she thought would be a good fit for me while I was riding and every time the horses were great! Very well trained! Celeste took me trail riding multiple times and every time I went it was a blast! I even brought my sister who is under the age of 10 who also never rode or been around horses, she made her feel comfortable and my sister had a blast! ❝I spent a good couple of months riding out at Spirit Creek Arabians and it was always a good time taking the ponies out and letting them open up and figuring out what we could do with them. Would highly recommend if you want to try your hand at something different and just all-around gain experience. I had my select few I liked to ride and work with, but I'd say all were pretty well tempered and nothing too hot. Depending on the type of rider you are there is plenty to fit. ❝I bought Ellie last summer from Spirit Creek, and goodness me I have been so incredibly satisfied with her! Brilliantly minded, unendingly curious and an amazing teammate to work with. She has so much try and enthusiasm in her I can't help but admire her every time we work together, even when I make mistakes, or she is unsure she still try's her absolute best to be right with me. I of course have to tip my hat to the foundation she came with, so much appreciation on my end that Ellie was given a good foundation to stand on. But I also have to praise the fact that even with her training she was still allowed to be a horse, which I think is what sets Ellie apart from a horse born and handled elsewhere. And I like to think that is what has allowed her to become the absolute darling that she is today, first at the gate for love and a little nuisance to boarding staff for attention she certainly has garnered lots of envy from others with her personality. I am nothing but excited to keep moving forward with Ellie as her potential is honestly endless, and I know that I'll have a fantastic ambitious horsey partner in the many years to come. ❞

They have given Kat a rock-solid foundation resulting in a horse that has confidence and strives to please with her spirit preserved. Kat and I have been on a couple trail weekends close to home. She has shown herself to be very forward and a mindful trail partner that is aware of her rider and surroundings. She has taken all the many new places and new experiences with eager curiosity. ❝Trina! She is my heart horse! Spirited, personality, sweet as can be and big hearted, this little mare was a rescue and my goodness did Celeste rescue a gem! She is rock solid in her groundwork and desensitizing! All I was looking for was a solid trail horse and I have the most amazing trail partner I coud've ever asked for! The work Celeste does is unmatched! And I am so grateful for the years I get with my mare <3 Trina is an absolute trail riding dream and takes amazing care of me on the trails. Thank you for all the hard work you do! I would get another horse from Spirit Creek Arabians in a heartbeat! ❞
- Heidi H.
Trina's backstory: Trina was bought as a rescue/rehabilitation case off of Craigslist. She was skin and bones and barely standing when we saw her. Regardless of any reasons not to buy her, we bought her anyway. She was a PTSD case, terrified of humans, you couldn't walk up to her without her physically trembling and halter pulling over and over again anytime you got close to her. She went through our training program after she started gaining enough weight and eventually went through 2 years' worth of training. Under all that fear, she was an incredibly sweet girl and wouldn't cause any harm. She eventually was solid enough and most of her PTSD was gone except lingering halter pulling every once in a blue moon if she didn't trust what was going on. She was able to be trail ridden and anyone could ride her by the end of her training. She eventually was rehomed into a wonderful home!

❝About 5 months ago we bought a 5 year old Pintabian mare from Celeste, she has been amazing! We couldn't have asked for a better horse. Celeste did such a great job with desensitizing. Whenever I'm riding her indoors or outside she is such an angel and listens to me very well. Whenever there any birds flying right above her head, or dogs running between her legs she doesn't even flinch. She is very well trained and is so sweet. Celeste also trained Rose to say yes and no, everyone at the barn adores her. Her manners on the ground are great, she respects my space and listens to me very well. She is very smart, I'm so impressed with how well Celeste trained her. Her bond with these horses amazes me. I highly recommend Spirit Creek if you are looking for a new horse that can go any direction. ❞
- Sarina S.
Rose's backstory: Rose was pulled out of Ryon's Rescue as a two-year-old. With plans of keeping her, we eventually decided to sell her (had breeding in mind, but as she grew, she wasn't what we were looking for). Rose then went through our training program and was rehomed into a wonderful home!

Testimonial for their training!
❝Celeste worked with a 10-year-old rescued Arab mare (Lucy) for me. The mare was terrified of plastic, and of anyone on her back. Celeste has done a great job with desensitizing Lucy and showing her how to accept plastic noise and a rider. Lucy was trying so hard, but had great anxiety. Celeste allowed her to work thru her anxiety, calmly. Celeste is great to work with, sends videos & updates, answers questions, is fine with farm visits to see mare's progress.
Celeste is also working with a 9 year old Arab ex-stud(Buddy)who was re-homed to me by the Arab Rescue and had very little handling except for breeding. Buddy had issues with catching, touching his ears and mouth, vaccinations. Buddy has come so far in 6 weeks with Celeste. You can see he is eager and engaged and enjoying ground work. Celeste has begun riding him and he looks like he is enjoying that also. I am very pleased with his progress.
I would highly recommend Celeste for training horses or working with horses with "issues". ❞

Chai's backstory: Awesome was an accidental breeding that has been the only instance we have ever had with a sales horse. His dam went to South Dakota and eventually she listed him for sale. We decided to purchase him and bring him back to Minnesota. We had plans of him being used for breeding, he foaled one filly, and being he was too anxious and would just run fence lines all day, we decided it was in his best interest to geld him instead. ❝I purchased an 8-yr-old gelding, CHA I M Awesome, from Celeste 2 1/2 months ago, and I couldn't be happier with him. He came with a *solid* foundation: broke to ride and excellent ground manners. He leads, ties, clips, and loads; everything you could ask. We have been out camping and trail riding three weekends in these few months. He settled into camp like an old pro: no fuss, no calling out to other horses, just him, his hay net and total contentment. Out on the trail, Awesome will follow, lead, step or hop over obstacles, walk through water, the works. He has been calm and controllable, even with large groups of other horses.
At home, we are schooling in hunt seat, with an eye towards jumping or even fox hunting. Although this is an entirely new discipline for him, Awesome is picking it all up in a hurry. My trainer compliments him about 10 times a lesson! (As do all my friends!) He has it all: looks, brains, and that super sweet, willing, calm attitude. I give a tremendous amount of credit to Celeste for his *excellent* start, and to Spirit Creek's breeding program for the brains and beauty. I would highly recommend Celeste and Spirit Creek to anyone looking for a well-started horse ready to tackle any discipline. ❞

❞Dude is doing well. I have ridden him 36 times now, including portions of the Mah Dah Hey trail, and a trip this fall when I rode him 6 miles into the Missouri Breaks and then packed out my elk on him. He just takes it all in stride. Dude is an inch taller and has put on about 75 pounds, most of which is muscle, since we brought him home. To our surprise, Dude is the top horse in the pecking order, with no ifs and buts. Dude will come running in from the pasture on a dead run when he sees us drive up, and we can catch him any time. He practically sticks his head in the halter. But honestly, he is such a chow hound that much of that could be he knows he is going to get groceries when we show up. On the other hand, if I pick a different horse to ride Dude will stand at the gate and stare at me. And when I turn the other horse loose Dude has chased him around and let him know he was not pleased. Dude is a naturally collected horse and his trot and lope are both pleasant to ride. We enjoy having him around. ❞

❝This past May we bought 2 young horses to Celeste for training. Celeste makes a great connection with each horse she works with and is able to gain their trust real fast. She did a fabulous job with desensitizing. My horse was a bit spookish around certain noises and movements and when I picked her up she was a totally different horse! Celeste is easy to communicate with. She answers questions to the best of her knowledge and is very willing to help you or show you different things on/about the horse she worked with. She sent us videos on their progress-good and bad, didn't hidden anything and we were able to visit them during training. I think Celeste did a wonderful job training the horses and I would recommend her to others! ❞

❝So impressed with the training Celeste has accomplished with the horses she has worked with. She has a natural connection with these animals and the ability to gain their confidence, therefore able to train with a kind, but firm, hand. I, personally, have watched her work with all types of horses with great success and so encourage anyone that has a horse that needs "ground up" training, or just a refresher, to contact her. This gal is amazing and you will not be disappointed in choosing her for your training needs.❞
❝This pretty mare is Liberty Belle BC aka Libby. I purchased Libby when she was 5 years old as a broodmare and she was not broke to ride. She gave me 4 beautiful foals during the 7 years I owned her. Last year I found a home for Libby with dear friends, and the amazing young lady riding Libby. This amazing young horsewoman had Libby tacked up and riding her within 4 days of us delivering her! I can't express how happy I am that Libby is with these folks, and what an amazing young lady has gained her trust and love! Soooo proud of both of them I am not one to give endorsements lightly....but I have known this young lady since she was just a little bugger, and her "horse sense" and connection with a horse is just amazing! She is one of the most dedicated, effective trainers I have ever come across. If any one out there is looking for a horse that is truly "dead broke", she is the one to contact..they have wonderful stock at their farm :) And if you currently have a horse that needs a refresher or break out...I would highly recommend Spirit Creek Training Facility! They have no idea I am sharing this...just really believe in these folks! There...I have said my piece lol.❞

Celeste of Spirit Creek Arabians bred, raised and trained our young Arab Cross mare, Kitty, and we couldn't be happier with Kitty's personality and foundation. ❝Your horses are incredible stunning, they are so smart. Superman is the best horse I have ever had, and he is a great partner. He will do anything I ask him so many people have doubted him in the past, and now they all say how well behaved he is. Not many people believe he could be a barrel horse but he is doing great! He almost always places or has a time that would have placed. He can go from a barrel race one day to pole bending. He is a great trail horse and even will jump. He is such a character, he the funniest horse I have. He might not be the fastest horse at the barrel race but he never fails to impress. He gives his best 100% of the time, and will always try to please. Superman was an easy keeper and I can go from running him hard to putting my little cousin on him and him just walking around. He has even started doing liberty work and he is doing amazing. Not to mention he is such a gorgeous horse. Arabians get such a bad rap but u wouldn’t trade him for any other horse he truly is my soul horse and I will never get rid of him. ❞

❝Last October I purchased Taji from Boulder Pointe Equestrian. He's been a very good horse and great on the trails! A couple of weeks ago a group of us went to Governor Dodge State Park in WI for a few days camping and riding. Taji did great trailering and rocked it on the trails. We even got into a canter a couple of times... He's very smooth. I'm really enjoying him!❞

2015 Update!
❝The trip home went pretty well, he moved around a bit in the beginning of the trip but settled down as we got a little further down the road. And he unloaded really well, so I don;t think the trip traumatized him at all. We put him in a stall for a bit and then walked him around our pasture so he'd know his limits. I think the big challenge there were the deerflies, of which we have WAY too many. He didn't like them, and I don't blame him. We put the two of them together on Monday late afternoon and it was pretty much a non-event. When they're both in the barn to get away from the flies we hear an occasional squeal, mostly from Regal, but that's the extent of our issues to date. We've had a few neighbors stop over to see him and he's had lots of attention from us and from the two grandkids Lynne watches every day. All in all he seems to be adjusting with no problem. ❞
