SC Valiant Honor "Honor"
Honor was born and raised here, handled since birth. He had 30 days put into him at 3 years old with thorough desensitization and groundwork. Was lightly started under saddle and then we decided to use him in our breeding program. Honor has only sired a few foals and being we aren't breeding as much; we're deciding to geld him and find him a new home. Honor has always been easy to handle, quiet, and a well-mannered boy. You can walk him through the herd of mares, and he has not once gotten "excited" or unmanageable. He knows that there is only one spot he got bred in and that is that. He has had a lot of "training" and socialization that way as all of our stallions we've raised from foals have been. His sire's foals have all been wonderful as was his sire who was also gelded late and re-sold into a wonderful family as a trail horse. Honor is very intelligent, a character, he likes attention but is respectful about it, bonds easily, and is very pretty! He has English gaits and sure is a fancy pants. Excuse his mane, it will need to grow after having playtime with the other stallions. It has grown in a bit since he has been gelded but it will probably take a full year if not longer to fully grow back in.
Honor has currently had 3 months of full professional training. He has been started out on the trails, is at a W/T/C, and at this point is just needing miles. He is at the point where I can confidently allow someone here to start riding him and it won't take much to finish him. He rides out alone, anywhere I point him, and seems to love/enjoy every minute of it. He is riding and tying well along mares & geldings. Is not showing any signs of stallion behavior and I believe he is going to make someone an excellent riding partner. Honor has the drive, intelligence, and looks! He has potential for a youth mount, family horse, endurance/competitive trail prospect, dressage prospect, jumping prospect, you name it! Honor is one of those horses that are just happy to be involved. Nothing seems to bother him, get him overly excited, or reactive. He has a gentle, patient, and tolerant attitude.
