SC Belle Rhapsody "Rhapsody" - is a 2017 Purebred Bay Arabian Mare. She was born and raised here, handled since birth. We have decided to not use her for our breeding program. Rhapsody is small, but built nicely. Got the best from both her sire and dam build and personality wise. Rhapsody is sound and has had no health issues. She would make an excellent Endurance prospect. We are favoring her to be sold for Endurance. But she has the potential for about anything! Her half sister is also currently competing on the Endurance circuit SC Izzabella.
Personality: Rhapsody is easy going, very mellow. Sweet and loves attention. She is one of the first ones waiting at the gate. She can be bossy in the herd (Her dam is the boss mare). She isn't aggressive, just won't put up with being picked on. Laid back under saddle and doesn't really care what is done. You can climb all over her bareback without issue. She is a quick learner. Can be laid back or fancy in the pasture.
Training: Rhapsody was started under saddle June 1st 2021. 6 months total of being under saddle since last year. Has been ridden on and off over winter. She will be started up again under saddle March 1st. for another 2 months put into her and trail ridden until sold. She has had thorough groundwork and desensitization. Rhapsody has been on a few trail rides Fall of 2021 and she did wonderful. Rhapsody has been wonderful to start and continue working with. She takes well to things without an explosive nature. If she is uncertain of something, she gets cautious, thinks about it, and usually just walks right on by like nothing happened. No buck, rear, kick, or bite since being started. Her second trail ride, a large, loud tractor went past us as we were in the ditch next to the road and she stood calmly the whole time. She's had hours of tying time and patiently stands. She is not flighty, but mellow under saddle. Comfortable gaits, you barely move in the saddle when she trots. She is pretty alert and does pay attention to everything curiously when she's out and about.
*More photos and videos will be taken around May 1st. Last updated photos were taken Fall 2021*
