Negative Coggins (current):
- Must be sent via email or mail prior to arrival.

- Please plan ahead, Coggins tests can take up to 2 weeks to process.

- Proof of up-to-date vaccinations must be submitted via email or mail before arrival.
- (Eastern/Western Encephalitis, Tetanus, Influenza, Rhino) is the minimum requirement.
- Horses need to be updated on worming prior to arrival.
- Horses should arrive with recently trimmed hooves. I understand if they're not farrier friendly but please have that stated prior to arrival.
- A bit of extra toe length is preferred, as gravel riding is part of training.
- If shoes are needed for any reason, please mention that ahead of time. Any additional farrier care while in training is the responsibility of the owner financially.
- Your farrier is more than welcome to trim/shoe your horse while in training or we can offer our farrier for current services. We do ask that you're here for farrier day to hold them & pay.
- ANY kill pen or rescue horse HAS to be quarantined for 45 days prior to arrival and have a veterinary exam (proof of) prior to arrival.
Payment Policy
- A non-refundable 20% down payment is required to hold your horse’s training spot.
- After the initial 30-day training period is scheduled, any additional time requested must be reserved in advance with a non-refundable down payment to hold the extended training spot. This ensures availability and guarantees that your horse’s training can continue without interruption. Without a down payment, extended time cannot be guaranteed, as training spots are limited and may be filled by other clients. This is due to clients not fully sure of what monthly length they're wanting the horses in for.
- Down payments are okay to be sent in the form of a check.
- First payment is due upon arrival, in cash, only.
- Any further or continuing payment(s) are due in cash only.
- Monthly payments are due on the 1st of each month.
- You may choose to pay for the full training duration upfront or month-to-month.
- I may be willing to barter services or trade for services, feel free to ask, but don't be offended if I say no, it all depends on monthly income, time of year, etc. This must be talked about prior to horses training date.
Drop-Off & Pick-Up
- Horses must arrive before their scheduled training start date.
- Drop-off is allowed the weekend or week prior, but daily board will be charged for each extra day.
- Board will also be charged for any days a horse stays beyond the agreed training end date.
- Horses are expected to be picked up within one week max after the end of their training period, board is still charged.
- Horses must be dropped off with their halter & lead rope so they can be sent back home with it. Their personal halter & lead rope is not used throughout their training duration. But I will not furnish a halter & lead rope myself to go back home.
Media & Updates
- All horses in training are subject to video recording and photo documentation.
- Media may be used for training updates and public promotional content.
Tack Use & Equipment Policy
For the duration of your horse’s training, only my personal tack and equipment will be used. I do not use owner-supplied tack, gear, or equipment preferences, and this policy is non-negotiable.
This policy is in place for several important reasons:
This policy is in place for several important reasons:
- Liability protection for both trainer and owner
- Proper fit and safety for both horse and rider
- Storage limitations and the risk of damage, loss, or theft of personal equipment
- Ensuring consistency with my established training methods and tools
- All tack used has been carefully selected for quality, safety, and fit across a wide variety of horses. This allows me to provide consistent, effective training tailored to each horse's development.
Training On Premises
Eligibility & Training Standards
- Horses must be at least 3 years old for any training course/program where riding is involved.
- Training will progress according to the horse’s maturity, soundness, and wellbeing. If a horse is not mentally or physically ready, they will be returned to the owner for their best interest.
- If a horse exhibits aggressive, dangerous, or unmanageable behavior that cannot be addressed in a reasonable timeframe, or becomes a risk to itself or others, it will be sent home immediately.
- Re-entry into the program will require a full veterinary examination and clearance.
- Owners are expected to provide honest and thorough background information prior to the horse’s arrival, including:
- Known behavior issues
- Past injuries, illnesses, or trauma
- Bad habits under saddle or on the ground
- Full transparency is mandatory. If a horse shows signs of severe behavioral problems that clearly did not develop overnight, and were not disclosed, it will be sent home.
- While I love what I do, and understand the risks involved, some horses may require more than training to address deep-seated issues. I prioritize every horse’s wellbeing above all else and will not continue training a horse that needs veterinary, psychological, or rehabilitative care beyond what I can ethically provide.
- If a horse is sent home before completing its scheduled training period, regardless of the reason, the owner will be reimbursed for any unused training days and/or unused board from the date the horse leaves. However, any fees already accumulated for training, board, or care up to that point are non-refundable.

Feeding & Nutrition
- Horses have 24/7 access to quality hay and are fed grain twice daily, unless otherwise requested by the owner.

- Supplying written feeding instructions upon arrival.
- I do not provide or purchase specialty feeds or supplements at the request of individual owners.
- Clients providing their own feeding programs (hay or grain) may receive a discount off their board option if the full program is provided by the owner for the entire training duration.
- Any hay provided by the client must be delivered and stacked at the owner’s expense, as we are unable to stack hay on-site. Small squares would be best.
- Alfalfa/Grass Mix
- Grass Hay
- Purina Products

Updates & Communication
- You will receive at least one video update per week, typically posted between Friday and Sunday, depending on weather and schedule.
- While I often share additional updates, please understand that weather conditions and daily workload may occasionally limit the amount of content shared.
- Additional updates are available upon request, within reason.
- While I truly understand how much owners miss their horses, constant or overly frequent messaging (e.g., multiple times a day) is not feasible during training hours.
- That said, if you're simply wanting a few extra photos or a quick update because you're missing your horse, I'm more than happy to accommodate whenever my schedule allows.
- I do not message daily unless necessary. However, you can expect to be immediately informed of any concerns, issues, or setbacks that arise during training.
- You're always welcome to reach out with questions or check-ins, and I will respond as soon as I am available, typically in the evenings.

Why Appointments Are Required:
- We have two dogs on the property: one protective guard dog and one epileptic dog. They are turned out periodically throughout the day for exercise and bathroom breaks.
- Neither are traffic-safe, and they are part of our family. For their safety and yours, we must be aware of when visitors are arriving.
- Unsupervised or unannounced visits are strictly prohibited, as they pose a safety and liability concern. Not only for our animals but also for client horses and others on the property.
- If unannounced visits become a repeated issue, your horse may be sent home early. We value mutual respect and safety above all.

You are more than welcome to:
- Request references from current and past clients, our veterinarians, or our farrier.
- If you're not able to attend to see your horse in person throughout their training, we can also recommend you to another client to get in touch to see your horse's wellbeing and share updates with you on their own accord (As long as both parties are willing/okay with said communication).
- Schedule a time to observe a training session, participate in a lesson, or simply visit your horse, with advance notice of at least 5–10 minutes via phone call only.
These sessions are a great way for you to:
- Learn what your horse is being taught
- Build your confidence and skills
- Be an active part of your horse’s training journey
- Lessons are not required, but highly encouraged, as they support lasting success for both horse and owner.
