2011 Grade 15H Bay Rabicano Tobiano Pinto Gelding

$10,000

Vertical Divider
Patriot is a 2011 Grade Bay Rabicano Tobiano. He was born here, handled since birth. Patriot is built wonderfully with beautiful gaits and is a comfortable ride. Patriot does need an experienced rider unless in supervision of someone experienced as he does have energy. He is definitely a one of a kind, once in a lifetime horse! After 8 years under saddle, going through the Minnesota Horse Training Academy in 2016, being used for trail riding every summer & fall, and giving lessons to all levels of riders, he is looking for his own person. He has the potential for almost anything. I wouldn't say gaming though as I personally think if not trained properly it would make him hot. He is a powerhouse when you get him going.

Personality: Patriot is unique and quirky in a silly and goofy way. He has a sense of humor. He is easy going, sweet, definitely loves attention. Fast learner and remembers things well. He gets along with everyone in the pasture. He is always scuffed up around here due to wanting to play. We have a routine of cutting his mane to a mow hawk as he gets it ripped out. It'll finally be grown out, nice long and beautiful and the next day it's ripped out. So that is to be kept in mind. He is always wanting attention, he loves to be worked with, loves to learn new things, loves giving lessons, and loves to be out on the trails. There isn't much he doesn't like doing as long as he is involved. He does have energy but isn't hot. Can be lazy somedays but tends to be right in-between mosing around and wanting to get things done. He does prefer men to woman. He has had no bad habits for us.

Training: Patriot will be getting a tune up May 1st and ridden the same as usual. He does not have to sell but is available to someone if they're the right fit. Patriot was started under saddle at 3 years old, Spring of 2014. Ridden and trail ridden since, was taken to the Minnesota Horse Training Academy Fall 2016, and then has been ridden, trail ridden, and giving riding lessons since. He has had many, many miles put into him and has had over 30 riders of all levels ages 8+ and has done well with all of them. He is one of the first ones we throw beginner riders on to teach how to ride and continue to have them learn to trail ride. I wouldn't consider him a kids horse but with supervision he's done very well with them as well. He has taken two of our youngest lesson students in the last couple years (age 8) on many trail rides leading the way. Patriot is used to being the leader on trail rides taking inexperienced horses out for their first time. While having that inexperienced horse explode or misbehave without him changing character. He also has ponied horses in training out on trails as well. Patriot has crossed bridges, gone through deep water, and goes up and over, and under objects without issue.
