Juliet - Juliet is a 8 year old, 14H, White Spotted Molly Mule. She has mostly been used for protection of our herd/foals. With a heavy heart we have decided it is in our best interest to find her a new home due to her increasingly wanting to steal the mare's foals and not allow them back with their mothers without issue. She does not let anyone up to her and we fear for the foals well being and she can no longer be trusted. We would like to see her go to a home without foals. Other than that, Juliet is one of the sweetest Mules I have met. She LOVES attention and giving her attention 24/7 would not nearly be enough. She has had a lot of work and handling since we got her as a yearling throughout the years. I would consider her to be greenbroke but she does need to be finished (Can be stubborn, bossy, and unwilling at times). I have not had the time to solely focus on her to get her finished I just have worked with her when I can. She is a Farriers dream! Getting a pedicure is her favorite favorite thing to do as long as she gets snacks here and there, she won't move a foot and will bend anyway to accommodate. Tricks are her second favorite thing. She knows how to smile, stand on a pedestal (or anything put in front of her), Spanish wave (both sides), and has a start to the Spanish walk, and parks out. Price is reflecting not having enough time under saddle this year so far. She is a very smart young lady and loves to be worked with. Juliet will be put on the training list for Fall 2022 to get her finished and taken out on trails if she is not sold before then. Her price will increase with training. Will get her videos put together and more pictures found to put on here after this weekend.
Personality: Sweetest Mule I've met, has a sense of humor, is quirky, can be stubborn, bossy, and sassy but I figure that is a Mule thing. I think she would prefer her own person as she is really inclined to bond. She chooses me over anyone else at the moment and does get protective. She isn't overly aggressive towards the other horses but does warn. All the horses love her - She does bray and stir up trouble if something is wrong so she is good at alerting if something is wrong within the herd. She nickers and stands at the gate to be worked with. Will follow you around like a puppy dog in the pasture and expect scratches and pets.
Training: Juliet was started under saddle in 2017. She had been taken out on a few trails that year and the following year after that. Then was put on the back burner and hasn't been taken out on trails since. She did wonderful on them - lead and followed, was fine around traffic. She has been ridden on and off in the barn and around the farm since. She was worked last Fall and was doing really good. Being soft with faster response times to neck reining, stopping, etc. She has been at a wtc, smooth gaits. She can be stubborn at times but it isn't anything you can't get her out of. She has threatened to buck a handful of times although never doing so and can be pushed through it easily enough. I haven't been worried she'd buck, I think she just likes to threaten it to be a brat. No rear, buck, bolt, kick, bite. She can be climbed all over, swung up on from the ground, ridden bareback, ridden out in the pasture with nothing on (she'll go where she takes you) but she hasn't ever done anything naughty with that much freedom. Isn't really spooky, just can be cautious about new things at first. Training wise and due to her size I wouldn't doubt an experienced young teenager that wants a challenge and to put miles on couldn't just get her finished and have a ton of fun doing so. She has brought so much excitement and fun into our lives. I'd really like to see her go to someone else that can truly connect with her on a similar level I have. She has had some Liberty training as well. Will follow you around anywhere at a walk, trot. Will do some tricks at Liberty too. She is smart enough to be taught anything else anyone would like to teach her too and I'm sure she will love it.
