SC Indie - Is a 2019 Gaited Palomino Half Arabian Mare. Indie was born and raised here, handled since birth. Indie is small, but built nicely. Built a lot like her dam. Indie is sound and has had no health issues. She has potential for about anything! She does not have to be sold so I will not negotiate on price with her but she is available to the right home if the opportunity presents itself.
Personality: Indie has a sweet personality but emphasis on personality, both her sire, dam, and two half sisters have a sense of humor. Very unique and hard to not adore. She is sweet, mellow, loves attention. Definitely in your pocket, at the gate, and anywhere you are at whether you like it or not, she has to know what you're doing and be apart of it. Indie is a quick learner and was taught to bow, say no, and walk up and onto objects before a year old. She will follow you around at liberty outside of the pasture, be playful and chase you around. She really enjoys being around people and being worked with.
Training: Indie has already had thorough groundwork and desensitization. She will be started under saddle March 1st 2022 (Slowly). She will have 2 months put into her by May 1st. She has had hours of tying time, has been worked with on loading in the trailer, stands for the farrier. Our farrier mentioned she had really good feet!
About her breeding: Her sire "CHA I M Awesome" is a purebred Arabian with Khemosabi & DWD Tabasco lines while her dam "SC Champagne Kisses" is a Spotted Mountain Horse/Saddlebred/Arabian Cross. Her Grandsire "Dirty White Boy - photo 1 / photo 2" is a purebred Spotted Mountain Horse, which you can go here: SMHA for more information. There was a whole issue with her grandsire Dirty White Boy not being able to be registered because of something to do with meeting certain criteria so his owner had said any offspring wasn't able to be registered SMH. Her granddam "RN Chocolat Kiss" is a Saddlebred/Arabian. With all that being said, Indie is a little more than Half Arabian (11/16ths Arabian). Being on the shorter side (pony sized) even though she is still growing, her sire is 14.1H and her dam is 14.1 1/2. She is not expected to grow much taller than 14/14.1H. She does have a stockier build like her dam. Her breeding makes for easy to train, very loving, loyal, and personable horses. Great family horses. Her dam and two half sisters were all broke out and ridden by anyone that wanted to ride beginner to experienced. They tend to want to "take care of their rider".
