SC Valiant Honor "Honor" Honor was born and raised here, handled since birth. He had 30 days put into him at 3 years old with thorough desensitization and groundwork. Was lightly started under saddle and then we decided to use him in our breeding program. Honor has only sired a few foals and being we aren't breeding as much; we're deciding to geld him and find him a new home. Honor has always been easy to handle, quiet, and a well-mannered boy. You can walk him through the herd of mares, and he has not once gotten "excited" or unmanageable. He knows that there is only one spot he gets bred in and that is that. So, him being a stallion all these years should not have an effect on his behavior or attitude once gelded and broke out to ride. He's been tied next to other mares in close reach, tied and pastured along with our two other stallions, as well as other geldings. He has had a lot of "training" and socialization that way as all of our stallions we've raised from foals have been. He should be fairly easy to get broke to ride as well as become a wonderful mount under saddle. His sire's foals have all been wonderful as was his sire who was also gelded late and re-sold into a wonderful family as a trail horse. Honor is very intelligent, a character, he likes attention but is respectful about it, bonds easily, and is very pretty! He has English gaits and sure is a fancy pants. We don't have the best photos of him, but we will get more this summer when he is out of his winter woolies.
Honor has potential for anything - Family horse, Endurance, Competitive trail, 4H, Dressage, Pleasure, Trail riding, Driving, etc. but it is to be known a home in Endurance or Competitive Trail will take preference over others at time of sale.
დ Has had no health issues & is sound. დ Has had 30 days of training put into him at 2 years old. დ Has WONDERFUL ground manners, is respectful and is not pushy. დ Patient, is not buddy sour. დ Ties - Has had hours of tying time - has been tied to the horse trailer, in the horse trailer, trees, hitching post, tied out overnight. დ He lunges both ways. დ Has had thorough desensitization and groundwork. დ Has been desensitized to fire. დ Picks up his feet - Great for the farrier! დ Loads in trailer დ Crosses mud/water (We have a creek they cross through every day with different levels of water). დ Has been ponied from on horseback and an atv. დ Has been taught to step up onto, stand, and go over obstacles (mattress, tarps, bridge like objects, etc.) დ Has had fly masks put on (Doesn't mind them but isn't afraid to take one off). დ Has been blanketed. დ Is pastured in with two other stallions (They were raised together) they all get along. He has also been pastured with geldings at times and that wasn't an issue. He may be more of a rough houser with other geldings as it's natural to him to be able to "play". დ Has been stalled (Doesn't mind). დ Has had liberty work done, was taught to self-load into horse trailer.
