Fiero is a very flashy and cute gelding that LOVES to be involved in ANYTHING you're doing even if it requires hard work. He's ready to go and ready to be a part of everything with a happy go lucky type of attitude. He is mellow, friendly, personable, and affectionate. Not much bothers this guy and he is always looking for someone to harass into giving him attention. If you're looking for a gelding that is in your pocket, a lover, and willing to do whatever you ask, this is your guy! Fiero has had a ton of hands on since a foal, he is more "developed" around people and has had more training than most horses at his age, this is just due to having only two foals born in his foal crop and we wanted to make sure he had more than a good start to his future.
Unfortunately, we don't believe Fiero has what it takes to become an Endurance mount, so we are seeking a trail or all-around home for him. Ideally, Fiero's new owner would be at least an intermediate rider, preferably one with a trainer to continue adding miles & experience. That is looking for an in your pocket, affectionate, horse that actually loves to be worked with. Fiero's FAVORITE thing is to be with his people doing whatever they ask of him! |

Transportation:
- Transportation arrangements are the buyer’s responsibility.
- We're only offering transportation services within state and only from May 1st-November 1st.
- Horses must be picked up within one week of purchase or upon receipt of veterinary paperwork.
- We do not offer post-purchase boarding.
- Once a horse is purchased, we allow up to one week for pickup or transport arrangements to be completed. Board will be charged for any day(s) further of stay with a max limit of two weeks. It is expected that transportation and any requested veterinary work be scheduled and carried out in a timely manner by serious or committed buyers.
- Buyer is responsible for all additional expenses or requirements, including but not limited to transportation, Coggins test, health certificate, pre-purchase examination (PPE), or any other veterinary work requested.
- Most of our sales horses do not have updated Coggins, Health certificates, etc. at time of sale as we do not need them for anything personally. All of ours have negative Coggins coming in and if they're still up to date, they will be listed as such but usually expire by the time of sale.
- If a potential buyer requests veterinary work, the horse will be placed on “sale pending” status and held only until the examination or test results are received. A timely decision is expected once results are available.
- Please note that any veterinary work performed at the request of a potential buyer is nonrefundable and entirely at the buyer’s discretion.
- We accept cash only as payment, no exceptions.
- We do not allow out-of-state purchases unless the buyer visits in person to see the horse prior to purchase.
- Horses currently enrolled in our training program are eligible for Discounted Continued Training at the discretion of the buyer. This option is offered at a reduced rate of $1,000 per month, which includes pasture board. Please note that only pasture board is available under this discounted program.
- This reduced rate is provided because the horse’s daily routine, handling, and training structure will remain consistent with the program they are already accustomed to. Since these horses have already been started and integrated into our training system, continued development can be offered at a lower cost while maintaining the same quality and progression.
- Buyers may elect to begin this continued training immediately after purchase, if wanted.
- Additionally, any horse purchased from us is eligible for a discounted refresher every year as well as continued training at any point throughout its life, provided that we are actively offering training services to the public at that time. This lifelong eligibility ensures consistency in training and support for both horse and owner long term and being we put so much into our horses, we would like to make sure they continue to do well for their future. Whether you bought a horse from us directly or acquired one that was in our training program at some point, as long as they've been through our program, they're eligible! Training since being born here:
What Fiero is trained for & can do:
- Age-appropriate handling & training since a foal, has had his hooves done by a farrier since a foal as well as loading into a trailer for grain time.
- 30-Day Saddle Preparation: 04/30/2025
- 30-Day Saddle Training Started: 09/01/2025
- 60 - Day Saddle Training Completed on: 10/01/2025
- 90 - Day Saddle Training Starting: 11/01/2025
- 120-day continued training & riding started: 12/01/2025
- 150-day continued training & riding started: 01/01/2026
What Fiero is trained for & can do:
- Was taught to load in the trailer as a foal and has had a ton of trailer loading time.
- Good for the farrier (was trimmed since a foal)
- Fiero has 3 white hooves and one black, while white hooves can be "softer", he has not shown signs of sensitivity except immediately after being freshly trimmed. He is barefoot and does not require shoes.
- Knows how to lunge both ways & switch
- Has had thorough desensitization & groundwork
- Respectful on the ground, gentle
- Has had a ton of tying time and ties patiently, no instances of halter pulling.
- Is NOT buddy sour (as long as he's with his person he could care less)
- Rides out alone
- Stands for tacking/untacking
- Stands for mounting/dismounting
- Was originally started in a knot halter and then transitioned into a snaffle bit.
- Can be ridden in a knot halter or bridle, good candidate for bitless as he is sensitive/soft enough.
- At a W/T/C
- Has great neck flexion
- Trained for one-rein stops
- Has been ridden bareback without issue
- Let's you swing up onto him from the ground to get on him bareback
- Let's you climb all over him when he's laying down
- Steps up onto and goes over obstacles and objects
- Doesn't mind music being played from the saddle (off of a phone) or loudly playing in the barn.
- Hasn't offered ANY bad behaviors since being started under saddle. No buck, kick, bite, rear, or bolt.
- Crosses mud, water, & puddles
- Has been ponied by another horse as well as ponied out on trails & gravel roads
- Has been ponied by an ATV
- Doesn't mind traffic and is used to all sorts of machinery, vehicles, ATV's, (We have a very chaotic farm)
- Has been blanketed, has worn fly masks without issue.
- Doesn't mind fly spray.
- Has had exposure to goats, cows, machinery, vehicles, ATV's, fire/smoke, chainsaws (in the pasture with the herd), gunshots (on the property), dogs (we have loud and chaotic dogs around him all the time and up close).
- Is currently in a herd of 20 horses. He is in the middle of the herd rank wise. He gets along with everyone, will get pushed around by the older mares, but is accepted and loves to play with horses his own age that are geldings. He is used to being with both mares & geldings. He doesn't have an aggressive bone in his body, so he won't usually offer to stick up for himself.
- Prefers humans over horses but has his select few gelding friends that he likes to play with!
- Fiero walks right up to you whenever you need him
- He will wait for you at the gate somedays
- If you turn him back out to pasture, he stands there and stares at you instead of runs off to find the rest of the herd
Fiero was born, raised, and trained with us. He has had hands on since he was a foal. Fiero has always been a very calm, sweet, well-mannered boy. He resembles his sire the most, with a calm disposition, easy training/going mindset, and is just happy to be involved with whatever you're doing with him. Very sweet, very kind. He's smart, curious, seeking attention at this time, and is wanting to be worked with. He is always right there waiting to be pulled out to do something. We believe his disposition will be the family friendly, youth friendly, type. At this time, Fiero is lanky built with solid bone, he will most likely resemble his sire when he matures build wise. He has pretty fancy movement that resembles his dams. She had very Dressage like movements. Our reason for selling is that we decided he was not up to our standards to become a stallion, and we do not keep geldings.
Living environment/Extra information:
Fiero is used to being in a herd of 20+ horses. He's been pastured with mares, geldings, stallions, donkeys, mules, hinnies. He is primarily on pasture from June 1st - October 31st. Then fed indoors over the cold months with ample turnout. He is used to primarily grass hay but also gets grass/alfalfa mix. We never feed straight alfalfa to our horses. He currently gets grain as a younger horse; we keep them on grain while they're growing. We believe Fiero would do great in another herd or boarded somewhere with other horses; he would not make a good prospect as an only horse on the property. Fiero was gelded at an appropriate time and has never bred a mare, so therefore he has never been "study". Fiero is also not blanketed throughout winter unless we have extreme temps that call for it, and he is currently barefoot with no reason to shoe. Fiero is respectful of fences; he has never gotten "loose" before even if our fence is off. He is currently pastured in all 4-5 strand hot wire fences. He has been stalled before and has no issues being in a stall, but it isn't something he does regularly. He will have exposure to the following if he hasn't already prior to sales date: Cows (from the pasture across the road), goats (from the pasture we ride past to get to the trails), dogs both on our property and dogs barking from other neighbors' property, vehicles, traffic, farm machinery, ATV's, chainsaws, fire, smoke.
